2026 Asian Conference on Applied Psychology (ACAP2026) Concludes Successfully, Empowering the Next Generation of Psychology Researchers

The 2026 Asian Conference on Applied Psychology brings together 165 authors from 16 countries to share research, strengthen international collaboration, and inspire the next generation of psychology researchers through its Undergraduate Research Conference (URC)

Singapore, SINGAPORE, Aug. 12, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 2026 Asian Conference on Applied Psychology (ACAP2026) concluded successfully on 30–31 July 2026 at the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium, bringing together 165 authors from 16 countries in a hybrid format. Under the theme “Mental Health and Well-being in a Diverse, Connected World,” the conference featured 59 research presentations, fostering meaningful discussions, international collaboration, and knowledge exchange among psychology researchers, academics, practitioners, and students.

Recognized as one of Asia’s leading international conferences on applied psychology, ACAP continues to provide an inclusive platform for both established scholars and early-career researchers to present innovative research, build international collaborations, and engage with experts from around the world. The conference is especially valued by first-time conference presenters and researchers seeking a supportive environment to present their first psychology research paper at an international conference.

ACAP2026 was supported by the Applied Psychological Research Program, Psychology Center for Life-Span Development and Intergeneration, Research Unit on Disaster Psychology and Well-being, Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University, and the Thai Psychological Association (TPA).

Led by Conference Chair, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Juthatip Wiwattanapantuwong (Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University), the conference welcomed both emerging and established scholars from across Asia and beyond.

The conference featured two distinguished keynote speakers:

• Dr. Peera Wongupparaj (Chulalongkorn University), who presented “From Early Detection of Cognitive Decline to Comprehensive Interventions for Older Adults.”
• Dr. Jean Liu (Singapore Institute of Technology), who delivered “The Pursuit of Happiness: Understanding Well-being in a Digital Age.”

One of the highlights of ACAP2026 was the successful launch of the Undergraduate Research Conference (URC), held alongside the main conference for the first time. Designed to encourage the next generation of psychology researchers, the URC provided undergraduate students with a valuable opportunity to gain international conference experience, present their research, receive constructive feedback, and build academic confidence.

Undergraduate researchers from Nara University of Education and Hong Kong Shue Yan University showcased their work through poster presentations. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Pimjuta Nimmapirat (Chulalongkorn University) for conducting an engaging workshop on effective research poster presentation skills. ACAP is committed to making international research opportunities accessible to students. The conference offers special discounted registration rates for undergraduate students, encouraging more students to experience their first international psychology conference, present their first research project, and connect with researchers from around the world.

Congratulations to Miss Ni Made Adinda Putri Puspitarani (Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia), whose paper, “The Psychological Effects of Medical Rehabilitation on Depression Among Stroke Patients: A Scoping Review” received the Best Paper Award. The award was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panrapee Suttiwan from Chulalongkorn University.

Selected conference papers will be published in Applied Psychology in Asia – Selected Papers from the Asian Conference on Applied Psychology 2026, to be published by Springer Nature, providing authors with an opportunity to further disseminate their research to the international academic community.
